This simple yet elegant ribeye recipe highlights the rich, natural flavor of Hunters Lake Ranch’s 100% grass-finished beef. A hot skillet and a quick garlic-herb butter baste bring out the steak’s tenderness without masking its clean, pasture-raised quality. Directions
Ingredients:
- 1 Hunters Lake Ranch ribeye steak (about 12 oz)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, smashed
- 1 sprig fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)
Instructions:
- Take the steak out of the fridge 30 minutes before cooking and season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat a heavy skillet (cast iron is best) over medium-high heat until very hot. Add oil.
- Place the steak in the pan and sear without moving for about 4 minutes. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium-rare (adjust timing to your preference).
- Lower the heat to medium, add butter, garlic, and herbs. Spoon the melted butter over the steak repeatedly for 1-2 minutes.
- Remove steak, let rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with your favorite roasted veggies or salad.
